I use the computer as an instrument to evolve complex and colorful worlds from a few basic forms. Unlike computer art, where computer algorithms determine the effects, I use my intuition to compose what I regard as appealing results. The emotional value of a painting's 'ecosystem' is always based on the nature of the three basic 'building blocks' (which I draw by hand). The scetch for every painting evolves from these building blocks during a process of repeated diversification and selection steps. This way of working can be regarded as evo-morphism. The final atmosphere of the painting depends critically on the translation from scetch to canvas, and involves a process of finetuning of the interactions between the colors.
